Internet Explorer 9 Released

As many of you may have seen in the news the latest version of microsofts Intenet Explorer 9 has now been released. Internet Explorer 9 promisies a whole host of new features including improved security and user interface.

Due to the relentless development of new web technologies it is very important to keep your web browser up to date. Using out of date browsers can cause websites to not display correctly or could make you vulnerable to security threats such as viruses.

Many people still use Internet Explorer 6 which was notorius for being unstable and riddled with security issues. Released back in 2001, IE6 was the last version to not to be included in windows auto update. Some businesses have not updated inhouse software to be compatible with later versions of Internet Explorer but many have merely not upgraded. You can check the version of Internet Explorer you are using the about Internet Explorer option under the Tools menu.
