What is Cyber Essential Certification?

Cyber Essentials is a UK Government-supported Scheme which is promoted widely across all sectors of industry as a means of protecting businesses from the ever-increasing threat of cyber attack. Developed by the National Cyber Security Centre, it is considered to represent the highest standard of accreditation; by which any organisation, irrespective of its size or sector, can achieve a far safer internet space.

It provides assurance that any Cyber Essentials certified organisation has all the requisite controls in place to protect its systems and data from external threat. It is therefore an indispensable weapon in the war against cybersecurity breaches, protecting the user from at least 80% of potential violations.

Attaining Cyber Essentials accreditation is therefore a fundamental means by which an organisation can demonstrate their credentials in being safeguarded and dependable in the crucial area of cybersecurity.
